Burnhamthorpe Water Project, Contracts 1 & 2
SANITARY SEWER
The Burnhamthorpe Water project involved the construction of 2200 meters of 1200mm sanitary sewer installed by microtunneling. The pipe also featured a corrosion protected HDPE liner.

Kennedy Road Watermain
WATERMAIN
The Kennedy Road project required the installation of 3300 meters of a 1500mm diameter watermain by tunneling. The steel pipe was designed to AWWA C200 & M11 specification and pressure tested to 175 psi and featured a internal cement mortar coating that was applied in-situ.

Dixie Road Watermain & Sanitary Sewer

The Dixie Road project included the construction of 1.0km of 600mm diameter single-pass concrete pressure pipe installed by slurry microtunneling.

Billy Bishop Pedestrian Tunnel
PEDESTRIAN TUNNEL
The Billy Bishop Pedestrian Tunnel is an underwater pedestrian access point which links mainland downtown Toronto to the Billy Bishop Island Airport. It is one of the largest open excavations in Georgian Bay formation shale.

West Trunk Sewer Project
SANITARY SEWER
The project included the construction of approximately 3800 meters of 3.0 meters internal diameter sanitary trunk sewer installed in a single-pass using precast concrete tunnel liners (PCTL). Toxic hydrogen sulfide gases were encountered during tunneling operations and shaft construction.

Highway 50 Sanitary Trunk Sewer
SANITARY SEWER
The sanitary trunk sewer included the construction of 1500mm diameter C200 steel pipe installed by microtunneling and feature 3 different kinds of corrosion protective lining including HDPE, epoxy and polyurethane.

Hanlan Feedermain & MCC Watermain
WATERMAIN
The Hanlan Feedermain and Mississauga City Center Watermain is considered one of the largest heavy civil water infrastructure projects in Ontario. The project consists of a 4.4km tunnel for a 2400mm diameter watermain which now carries water from Lakeview Water Treatment Plant to the Hanlan Reservoir and the Mississauga City Centre Watermain.

This contract includes the construction of approximately 1000 meters of 1500mm diameter C302 concrete pressure pipe Cawthra Road from Dundas Street East to Bloor Street.

SANITARY SEWER
This Contract is for the construction of approximately 435m of 1200 mm diameter and 1065m of 1500mm diameter sanitary sewer by tunnelling. The sanitary sewers were manufactured to AWWA C302 concrete pressure pipe and included a HDPE internal liner.
